OUTFIT DIARIES: MY ISLAND HOLIDAY WARDROBE

To go alongside my MedSailors sailing holiday vlog I wanted to show you a selection of my favourite holiday looks from this incredible sailing trip I went on.

It’s fair to say this was the summer of the Bardot top, ruffles, gingham, bell sleeves, co – ords and playsuits. For bikinis I loved anything crochet and mismatched. Accessories were big and bold’ like my tassel earring collection or stacked and delicate. I loved a statement headscarf too.

What looks have you been loving this summer?

I picked up this gorgeous co-ord from Missy Empire for my trip.  It was the perfect holiday outfit; short, white, lightweight and super cute. It was also a steal at £36! I love the tassel and edging details.

These red earrings were an eBay find after the HM ones sold out! You can find them here for £5 but I have linked similar styles below. My classic round, gold rimmed Rayban’s and low chignon complete the look.

This summer the Bardot style tops became even more dramatic! I picked up this white and blue multi-layered, pinstriped one from New Look. There is so much drama in this top. The Bardot style is super flattering on the décolletage and if you like your shoulders it’s a great way to add a little sexiness to your look without over exposing yourself.

This white denim mini is a summertime essential and goes with everything. I paired this look with a simple, white cross body bag and these adorable Casa de Vera POM POM shoes from Beach Cafe. Note if you order these they come up slightly small so think about going a size up! More colour options here.

My tanning and beachside looks were very Boho-inspired this year. I favoured the headscarf tied and twisted around my head or hair. Anything crochet was a YES  for me too.

Accessory wise I was stacking delicate gold chain and charms on my wrists, neck and in my ears, especially if it was celestial themed.

Tying 2 of my fav summer trends together, this Gingham Co-ord set is such a pretty little outfit, ideal for anywhere hot. I felt very Lolita inspired in this look. The ruffle details on the spaghetti straps is my favourite part. This is also on sale right now.

Shoes are pink faux suede tie up sandals and bag and glasses as before.

Partnering with Accessorize this summer meant I was lucky enough to have access to some beautiful beachwear and jewellery. This was one of my fav bikinis this summer. I love how the boho, crochet detail is woven into a sporty style racer back top.

A loosely tied silk headscarf woven into a braid is also a super easy look to try out.

My favourite playsuit from the holiday is this micro-dot River Island number that has all the summer shapes nailed; cold shoulder, bell sleeves, polka dots. On my feet are a pair of caged, white sliders with gold stud work. I wore these a lot this summer because they are v comfortable and look super luxe despite their high street price point.

I paired this look with my Celine sunnies and chunky gold hoop earrings.

I am a massive fan of Melissa Odabash swimwear and beach cafe have a really good selection. This dusky pink nude Sardinia bikini is one of my favs. Simple cuts and great for bigger boobs too (if you have them). The colour is bang on trend and I like the skimpiness of the briefs too.

I’m wearing these with my Accessorize fedora hat here, a sun and boat trip essential! Ray Ban’s as before.

Finally a mention of my favourite beach cover up. This white and blue batik print playsuit is by Seafolly at Beach Cafe. Perfect for throwing on in the daytime or taking you from hotel room to beach/pool side. It’s super lightweight and has floaty bell sleeves which give it a true boho vibe.
