Nothing says fresh like varying shades of blue on a crisp January day. The colour blue is always fashionable, whether its Pantone blue Serenity of 2016 or the greige blue I like to wear on my nails sometimes. One day I hope to own a house with a duck egg blue hallway. And of course there’s my never-ending addiction to blue denim jeans.
The new season edit of bags and jewellery from Accessorize feels both feminine and cool. I’ve picked out a few key pieces from their new season edit and styled them into 2 looks.
LOOK 1 – CASUAL WORKWEAR
Starting with my casual white denim and plaid shirt look, this will double as work wear for me. I don’t just love all-white looks for summer they also feel really fresh and cool for the colder months too. I’m favouring the straight leg jean right now and these M.i.h ones are some of my favs. I like the rips too so it looks more chilled. The plaid shirt is a casual wear staple and works with both denim and smarter trousers.
Gold toned bag hardware and jewellery won’t stop me from mixing my metals. These cute 60’s style silver moon boots from New Look have a flared heel and are super comfortable for running around in. They also tie in with the cool and fresh colour palette.
This must be stressed, I’m not a pearl girl AT ALL. However, when a pearl is mixed in with minimalist and modern shaped earrings the whole mumsy-ness of a pearl flies out the window and BAM the pearl is supercool. These Orbit Pearl drop earrings with gold orbs are stunningly modern feeling.
The Annie Lock Handheld bag is big, structured and slick looking making it the perfect work bag for keep my diary, iPad, and camera safe and secure with different compartments for makeup, keys and wallet. I love the cross body strap option, as I stupidly always tend to overfill my bags and feel like my wrist are falling off come midday. My favourite thing about the Annie bag is the cool periwinkle blue colour. It adds a pretty injection of colour to this neutral outfit.

LOOK 2 – THE DAY DATE
My next look is less work-wear more brunch with friends or casual date vibes. I’ve kept the same Jigsaw coat but just flipped it around to pink side for a bit of colour. The jeans are the same as above but I have added a black roll neck so my Gold Disc necklace really pops against the black.
I’m not averse to playing with shapes in jewellery and I love this Floating Circles necklace paired with the more geometric shapes of the Mixed Shape Stacking Bangles.
My hero accessory of this daytime look is the cute little Thandi Mini Purse Bag in icy blue. Mini box bags are everywhere right now and although they challenge me on a daily basis to NOT bring the kitchen sink out with me, I love the freedom of flinging one on and going hands free. LIBERATION LADIES!! Perfect for shopping when I need to be rifling through rails and scrolling away. I pretty much only need my cards and phone for that, so space is not an essential.
I’m obsessed with my 90’s girl band platforms from Topshop as well. A smart brogue or basic boot is all good and well for an everyday #ootd but these platform boots make the look more ME.
